Thanksgiving Drink With Apple Cider
APPLE CIDER: The star of the margarita, apple cider, is the perfect addition to any fall cocktail. Goes great with tequila! I prefer unfiltered cider, but I use what you can find at the grocery store (usually found at the grocery store). You can also use spiced apple cider (which often contains cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, or ginger). You can even stir a spoonful of apple butter into your margaritas for extra flavor!

Can’t find apple cider in the corner? You can replace the apple juice with spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, pumpkin pie spice, and ginger.
LIME JUICE: Use fresh lime juice for the best flavor! Then, slice an extra lime and add it as a garnish!
Run a lime wedge and then salt around the perimeter, or dip it in honey and then cinnamon sugar for a festive, seasonal touch. You can also add a little pumpkin pie spice to spice up the rim! I personally love the cinnamon sugar edge!

Cider: Try something tart like cranberry or diet cranberry juice instead. Pomegranate kombucha is a bit fancier and harder to find, but would be AWESOME in this fall margarita!
Apple Cider Old Fashioned
Tequila: You can easily make this Thanksgiving margarita without tequila. I recommend replacing it with vodka or gin, both of which will complement the other ingredients of this cocktail perfectly.
Club Soda: If you’re looking for another flavor element, try flavored soda. An orange or Razz-Cranberry La Croix would be delicious.

I usually recommend using a tequila that you can enjoy on its own. The smoother the tequila, the smoother the cocktail is drinkable. You can use any silver or gold tequila for this recipe, as the cider distorts the color of the drink.
I have the following brands in my basket: Espolon Blanco, Olmeca Plata Tequila and Jose Cuervo. You can try infused tequila with this recipe. It will bring out the fall flavors in everything!
Apple cider is the main juice in this fall cocktail, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get creative. You can add a splash of orange juice, lime juice (for more acidity) or even pear juice! It gives the margarita a unique touch.
