No cooling time, make them soft or crispy. Ice them my EASY way, dip them in chocolate, dust and powdered sugar or serve them plain!

What I call “Christmas cookies” are vanilla cookies cut into Christmas shapes and frosted with festive frosting. They taste like butter cookies, but not as buttery or crumbly. They are as simple as vanilla cookies can be.

One Dough, Six Cookies

This particular cookie recipe is for cutting out shapes—in this case, Christmas shapes. Most cookies expand and puff up so they don’t look like your expected shape!

But these hold their shape perfectly – as you can see by the sharp ridges and corners in the photo below.
