My favorite way to keep pears and apples from going sour after slicing them is to place them in a bowl of apple juice. This way they won’t be as bitter as when soaked in lemon juice.
If you only have lemon juice on hand, mix ½ cup of water with 2 tablespoons of lemon and add the apples and pears.

I chose to pair the autumn salad with a sweet and tangy pomegranate vinaigrette. It’s bright and vibrant and only takes a few minutes to make! It compliments and enhances all of the salad’s ingredients rather than overwhelming them.
I like to add poppy seeds to many of my salads for a little fun and interesting, but they’re completely optional unless you’re holding them in your hand. Make sure to shake/stir the dressing well when you are ready to serve.
