I took a quick shopping trip to Safeway and was so inspired by all the fall decorations and spices I saw, I knew I had to get on the pumpkin boat STAT.
If you’re like me, I’m already looking forward to the holiday season and celebration. Seeing pumpkins, spices, and everything I need for cooking and baking from my favorite products at my favorite grocery store makes me happy.
In addition to all my goodies, I picked up a box of Open Nature Gluten Free Brownie Mix and O Organic Chocolate Chips Semi Sweet in the recipe, canned pumpkin and a few debi lilly design™ items including beautiful and fresh flowers. vase (you can find them in the flower section at Safeway!) and go home to try a new recipe.

Thanks for the help of the mix box! I picked up a box of Gluten Free Open Nature Brownie Mix at Safeway and wow, what an amazing chocolate flavor! Rich and delicious, and of course, because I can’t be alone, I added chocolate chips to the batter.

Brownie mix – I used a box of Open Nature gluten free brownie mix, but any brownie mix will work for this. I never thought it was gluten free – so delicious and delicious! You will also need the ingredients listed on the box. To cook I needed eggs, butter and water. You can also make brownies if you want! Just use the brownie recipe here: Peanut Butter Brownies.

Chocolate Chips – Semi-sweet chocolate chips are a great addition to brownies to give them a chocolate flavor. I used 1 cup of O Organic Chocolate Chips Semi Sweet.
Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or in the refrigerator for 4 days.
Can these brownies be frozen? Brownies are easy to freeze! Allow to cool completely, then place the entire mold in the refrigerator for an hour or until frozen. Use parchment paper or foil to remove the brownies from the pan. Wrap the whole block of brownies in plastic wrap and wrap in foil. Store in a freezer bag for up to three months. Allow to thaw completely on the counter or in the refrigerator before slicing.

SHARE. Divide the batter equally between two separate bowls. Mix the cocoa powder and chocolate chips into one dough. In the second bowl with batter, add pumpkin puree, walnuts, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.

LAYER. Spread ½ of the melted chocolate in the bottom of a greased 8×8 baking dish. Spread ½ of the pumpkin dough on top.

REVELATION. Add pieces of any remaining dough to the baking dish (this will make it easier to roll). Then, carefully run a knife over the chocolate and pieces of pumpkin dough to make the top.
Every oven is different, but to make sure your brownies are done, make sure the center doesn’t look wet or wobbly by shaking it a little.
GROUP. Cool pumpkin puree brownies and store in an airtight container at room temperature for three days, but better in the refrigerator for 1 week.
